Emily was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1982. She grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan, and earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Japanese from Michigan State University in 2004. Prior to earning her J.D., Emily had a 15-year career in charitable planned giving and major gifts fundraising that sparked her interest in estate planning and elder law. She graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2020 and her practice has focused on estate administration, conservatorships, and trust administration ever since. Emily has served as a Legislative Liaison, Vice-Chair, and Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. When not in the office, Emily can be found on her yoga mat, taking a hike with her rescue dog, or enjoying a powder day on the slopes.
